The S.A. Blue Cats are an eclectic assemblage of musicians with varying styles of interpreting blues. They have over 200 years experience between them. The San Antonio based band is multi-instrumental featuring guitars, horns, harmonica, accordion, keyboard and four featured vocalists. The band carries a repertoire including all forms of American Blues and blues based music. They perform all styles of traditional and contemporary blues along with samplings of R & B, zydeco, roots rock, jazz and country.
The S.A. Blue Cats have opened for renowned artists such as Doyle Bramhall and Guitar Shorty and have shared the stage with W.C. Clark, Rob Roy Parnell, Larry Lange and the Lonely Knights, Seth Walker, Omar Dykes, Shelley King and Pinetop Perkins.
The band has been featured at the Luckenbach Blues Festival from 2008-2010, Luminaria S.A. from 2008-2011, The City South Arts Festival 2008 and 2010, Cibolo Nature Center's Concert Series, various San Antonio Fiesta events including the honor of playing on the 2011 Fiesta Commission's boat in the Texas Cavalier's River Parade as well as many other events and benefits for various causes. The band is also a member of the Texas Music Coalition and the San Antonio Blues Society.
