JIMI LEE grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and by the time he was a teenager he'd opened shows for Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Bobby Blue Bland. By the time JIMI reached his twenties, he played harmonica for legends Willie Nelson, Stephen Stills, Clarence Clemens, Pinetop Perkins and others. He's spent a dozen years in Hawaii captivating audiences from around the world and was voted "Best in the State" by the Hawaiian Blues Society.
After moving to Austin, JIMI won first place at the annual Austin blues competition, then became the first artist to represent The Austin Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. He went on to win the semi-finals for Austin and compete at the famous Orpheum Theatre as one of the top eight blues acts in the world..."The Best of the Best" as the blues foundation put it.
